I'm New Here
Now, I know, you're probably asking yourself why you're even here. Another "mom" blogger?! Gawdddd.... But yet, here you are, so just let me introduce myself. My name is Humpty, pronounced with a Umpty. Okay, if you don't get that reference, please see yourself out now. #DigitalUnderground
Okay, really. Who am I and why am I sitting here starting this blog? My name is Kelli. Some people call me babe. Some people call me mom, mama, mommy and boomer. Some people have called me much worse. I'm a wife, mom, professional desk jockey and book nerd. I am from one of the fly over states as Jason Aldean would say, but really we just say "Ope, let me tell you about Iowa."
I'm a lifetime learner and constantly studying something to add more designatory letters behind my name. I'm going for the whole alphabet. Don't judge. Kelli D., FCLS, CPC-A (working on AIC) doesn't care what you think of that. If I'm not studying for a designation, I'm mommin', cleaning, chauffeuring, reading, crafting or baking. Or sleeping. Cause mama loves her naps.
I cuss, like a lot. So if that offends you, you can't say I didn't warn you. I use humor to help in the most difficult situations. I read. all. the. time. Book nerd, remember? I'm an introvert to the extreme. I'm an anxiety, depression and PTSD patient. I am a giant hip-hop fan (West Coast is the Best Coast). I love to bake (hello banana bread) and make some bomb ass wedding flowers. I'm a list making, planner and who does not like change. I love racing and fast cars. I'm a sports fan whose teams generally let her down on a regular basis.
So here I am, opening myself and writing like I've always wanted to do. There will be things that make you laugh and things that make you cry. There will be cussing because my mom had the mouth of a sailor and the apple didn't fall too far from the f*cking tree. There will be s*it people want to talk about but are too afraid to bring up or ask. There will be an unnecessarily high amount of rap lyrics. And there will be SO many book related topics, I'm sure. So if you can get down with that, then yeah, I'm ya girl!
