PTSD from COVID

OMG. I seriously think that I have PTSD from having Covid last year. Here's the deal, our family got hit with the dreaded Vid-19 back in November. Of the six of us, three were positive and three were negative. And then of the 50% that got the Vid, we all had really different experiences. Cory was sick for like two days, but lost his sense of smell and taste for months. One of the girls had it (and they have bunkbeds...) and had NO symptoms. I had it and was sick for legit two months. I had every single stupid symptom except losing my smell and taste. It was horrible and the best part about it was the first three days, I had a horrendous "migraine" (well, what I thought was a migraine. Turns out it was the mutha fucking Vid.

So now, every single time my head starts hurting I think the worst. Flashbacks of laying in bed asking Jesus to take the wheel, the relentlessness of Covid and the stupid ass symptoms that affected like every single body part. I'm telling you, Covid not only left me with a lingering annoying cough and memory issues, but also PTSD.

To make it even better, this years pollen count has been astronomical every day for the last month and before that we had smoke from the damn wildfires. Our air quality here in the great ol' state of Iowa is never great but the last few months it's been FUCKING AWFUL and my allergies, oh, they're on fire. They're so on fire that you'd think I recently had a gender reveal and nearly burnt down the entire US... Yeah, they're THAT bad. At this point, I think I'll dope myself up with Benadryl, stick some Kleenex up my nose and pass out. I never, ever, ever WANT winter to come but right now, I'd love it if everything outside would just die so my sinuses could get a reprieve.

Until then, don't mind me, almost wrecking my car from a sneezing fit, making weird noises while trying to "itch" my throat with my tongue, buying an abnormal amount of Puffs Plus (with lotion because my nose is dying) and allergy drugs, rubbing my itchy eyes so much that they're so bloodshot you think I'm high and walking around looking for my keys because the Vid-19 gave me early onset Alzheimer's.

Mind. Ya. Bidness.
